Match Report v Grantley Adams School

After a disappointing defeat against Banks and some strong words the boys were set for their 3rd game against a strong Grantley Adams School side. Determined to correct the errors of our poor batting performance we once again opted to bat first, giving us every opportunity to improve on previous efforts. Sadly despite a promising start from Dias and Young (35 run partnership) the batting once again failed to fire as we collapsed in poor fashion for a very disappointing total of 70. Too frequently poor shot selection  and a lack of patience were to blame as soft dismissals exposed the  lower middle order and tail.

Once again we were solid with ball in hand  and some good bowling meant that the opposition did not have it all their own way. However, 70 was never going to be enough and the opposition made it home comfortably for the loss of 5 wickets. Rob Kreibich returned figures of 2 for 16 with Young, Freeman and Howarth each picking up a wicket a piece.
